The term “tafsir” originates from the Arabic root word “fassara,” meaning “interpreted.” Its literal meaning encompasses the act of interpreting, explaining, expounding, or disclosing. Within Islamic contexts, tafsir is defined as the process of understanding and uncovering God’s will, as conveyed through the    Qur’anic text, by utilizing the Arabic language and one’s own knowledge.

In Islam, the knowledge of Islamic law cannot be acquired without a deep understanding of the Holy Qur’an. Therefore, the study of tafsir holds a position of utmost importance among the sciences that a Muslim can pursue. Allah has emphasized that those who delve into the sciences of the Qur’an are bestowed with abundant goodness and blessings.

Allah said :
‘’ He grants Hikma to whim He pleases and he to whom Hikma is granted, is indeed granted abundant good… “

” يُؤْتِي الْحِكْمَةَ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَنْ يُؤْتَ الْحِكْمَةَ فَقَدْ أُوتِيَ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا ۗ”

Some scholars have said in the interpretation of Hikma that it is the Holy Qur’an.

What is Tafsir?

Tafsir is the process of exegesis and elucidation, commonly associated with the Quran, aimed at providing explanation and clarification. It involves deep reflection on the verses of the Holy Qur’an and endeavors to grasp their intended meaning as instructed by Allah.

Allah said :
“This is a Book (the Quran) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember’’

“كِتَٰبٌ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَيۡكَ مُبَٰرَكٞ لِّيَدَّبَّرُوٓاْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلۡأَلۡبَٰبِ ”

Level One Course:

This course focuses on the Tafsir of Juz Amma, catering to both young and adult learners. We utilize modern teaching methods such as engaging PowerPoints, interactive activities, and stimulating quizzes to enhance the learning experience.

Level Two Course:

In this course, we delve into the meanings of Juz Tabarak, covering up to three Juz (parts) of the Quran. Through comprehensive instruction, learners gain a deeper understanding of the Tafsir and its significance.

Level Three Course:

Our Level Three Course explores the interpretation of lengthy chapters in the Quran and their interconnections. By studying these chapters, learners develop a broader perspective on the Quranic text and its cohesive message.
